I want to make my own scrapbook binding without having to buy a binder from a store…I’ve thought about binding tape but does anyone else have any other ideas?

Martha Stewart does accordian pages – fold a long length (or many attached lengths) of paper accordian-style and then glue the outside pages together with a single cover. The pages won’t be affixed to the binding, but it is nevertheless pleasing to use. Note that you will not be able to add and remove pages with this type of album.

Punch your own holes and use binder rings sold in the 12 pack from staples

Use long cloth or material strips and a hole punch or cut a slit and begin wrapping. You should use old clothes that are stained that you’d never use for anything else. They can also be useed to make squares for a quilt… If its possible to find one of those trees that the bark peels off in strips from, try that with a quilting needle for your binding…

you could punch holes in the pages and bind it with a pretty ribbon. i’ve done that before!
