I have my own online shop and would like to do a newsletter every three months but not sure how to go about this or what information to put into it. It will be for a cardmaking and scrapbooking online store which we sell some embellishments, etc. I would love some help with this or some sites to check out if possible.
Thanks

Do you have a list of customers? I would write to them and ask them what they would liek to hear about. Include some suggestions about what you could write about, then leave them a space to add their own suggestions.
Don’t expect 100% response rate! You may only get a 20% response, if that, but these things are hard to call.
Whatever you do, do it for a reason. Figure out why you want ot have a newsletter. What is your aim/goal? That may also help you decide what to put in the newsletter.
    All the best!

Susan knows what she’s talking about – straight from the horse’s mouth :-)
i enjoy receiving newsletters, etc. from her site & she adds a very personal touch to each of them.
and as she mentioned, ask for feedback & suggestions too.
    as regards info :
    - any new arrivals/displays
    - new techniques
    - new tools
    - tips
    - if you’ve incorporated some feedback/suggestions, talk about that & give credit to the sender.
    - links to other/related sites especially for stuff that you don’t provide yourself on your store.
    - you can hold a competition of sorts – invite entries of scrapbook pages [you can give a theme] & display them with proper credits. announce some reward. throw the judging open to all your visitors/members – they can vote on the best entry.
    - or you can list an assortment of stuff [embellishments, stamps, paper, etc.] from which the members can choose to make their page. again best entry will be voted for.
you need to involve & interact with your readers as much as you can, without being too intrusive.
make your newsletter as pleasing & attractive as possible without information overload & without adding too many hyperlinks.
    hope these help too
all the very best in your endeavour :-) )

Hello! Sounds like a great idea. If you expect a large amount of subscribers, I would suggest using an email database and service that will send out the email for you. This will help you get through spam filters and not get blacklisted. ConstantContact is a source: http://search.constantcontact.com/index.…
Keep it simple. Some new arrivals. A promotional code or coupon. (Codes will help track who’s actually clicking and buying from the newsletter)
If you want to add some humor, I’m a cartoonist and we can talk about custom cartoons. ;)
