Why Wont My 12″ Quickutz Platform Work When I Spin The Handle To My Revolution?

I’ve gone over the directions several times. I’ve tried taking it out and starting over, but still it wont move when the handle gets turned. The website said there is not supposed to be teeth on the 12 ” platform and that because its so long it should move. What am i doing wrong?
